another shot from amanda duffie's wedding. a friend of a friend had agreed to let them use his 1938 classic cadillac for travelling to the reception and leaving for the honeymoon. i spent a few minutes photographing the car and then was approached by the owner. we spent a few minutes talking and he explained that he allows couples to use the car for "free" as long as they make a donation to his church's building fund at an episcopal church downtown. this got us into a long discussion about everything from worship style to the "homosexual question" that's been such an issue for the episcopal church recently. turned out to be a pretty neat guy, and he sure loves his cadi.

Posted by: jerah at August 24, 2004 03:27 PMOOOH man I hadn't seen the trailer yet, I was dying. Great cast, plus Bill the Main Man Murray is so dead pan, that its almost not funny... but it is. Goo, thats gonna be a good one.
Posted by: holton at August 24, 2004 05:39 PMThe funny thing about the ECUSA is that dioceses in Africa and Singapore are supporting missionaries in the United States. The 79-million member worldwide Anglican Communion, of which the ECUSA is a part, is involved in a massive realignment. A majority of the member churches (mostly overseas) are proclaiming the truth of the gospel, while the rest of the communion (mainly in the U.S.) believes it is discovering truth. There is a fundamental split within the Anglican Communion, and a house divided against itself cannot stand. It is only a matter of time before there a two separate entities.
Posted by: Scott at August 24, 2004 10:34 PMI saw Interpol at the Curiosa tour earlier this month down at Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater. I wish we had gotten their earlier, as we only caught about half of their set. They remind me a lot of Joy Division--at least in terms of the lead vocals.
