flying bus

the other story i covered last weekend was the 6th annual bug-a-paluza put on by the scenic city volks folks. i wandered the camp jordan fairgrounds for maybe an hour snapping photos of volkswagen's of all shapes, sizes and ages. my favorite was a pair of magic buses with their doors flung wide, one of which is shown here. i had hoped to score some vintage VW wear or stickers for the passat, but was a little disappointed at the lack of cool stuff for sale. the volksfolks, evidently, are pretty focused on the just the vehicles themselves.

Ok Ok, this has been a very tottenic week of blogging I know. First off, Andy has show us all my innebriated hairy face twice. My goodness I look like the ghost of John Belushi only scarier. What in the world were you thinking Andy? I didn't seriously want you to put my picture up. Wow, have a little taste will you? Then I have to go and write obnoxious comment after obnoxious comment. Somebody put a muzzle on that guy, and by that guy I mean me. However, I wanted to let all my friends know, that not only is this the last time I am ever going to post on Andy's blog (today), but I just turned in the last paper of my undergraduate career. It feels pretty good and how appropriate that the title was "Indie Rock: an Ethnography". It features observations and interviews with such friends as: Ryan Dixon, Chris Ammons, Paul Jaussen, and most importantly, Jonathan Huffine. I'm pretty proud of this paper even though to do the subject justice it should have been 30 more pages. Anyway if anyone would like to read it as a freaking conversation stimulator, feel free to ask me. I'm and done with all the hard stuff.
