overlook

i got the new camera over the weekend, and took quite a lot of photographs with it. unfortunately i still haven't received the card reader which means i can't easily pull the images off the CF card. so, until it arrives (today hopefully) i'm still using backlog images. i think this is a photograph i took months ago one morning when leaving the mountain. you can see the blanket of clouds covering the valley at the bottom. the wind patterns hitting up against the mountain make for some pretty striking cloud shapes.

...

isaac played the vineyard again on friday night. a good show, but the sound in that place is pretty disappointing. we really need a couple good music venues in this town. saturday i watched human nature, another gondry/kaufman (eternal sunshine) film, which was actually pretty interesting. nowhere near as good as ESotSM, but thought provoking for sure. saturday night luciano threw an engagement party for ben and anna. more pictures to follow from those events...

Here's to new cameras!

I can't wait to see what comes out of you head now. You take such great pictures. I figured if I spent closer to a thousand bucks on my new camera, I might come a wee bit closer to capturing an image as nice as what I often see here.

Keep up the wonderful work.

Oooh! I love the sky like that. I liked to go to the Bluff and head my head over while looking at the sky upsidedown...I always thought the sky looked like satellite photos of the earth with the clouds and everything. You also got a sense of the roundness of the earth when looking at the sky upsidedown.
